We recommend that you use the latest software release. It not only has the least bugs and the most features; it's also easier for us to answer support questions about it. This is the version we will provide to purchasers of new wands. Choose either download. Both downloads are installation exe files which include an up-to-date device driver for the USB FastSCAN.
FastSCAN 4.0.6 fixes a number of stability problems present in earlier versions. We strongly advise all users to upgrade as soon as possible.

During the installation of the FastSCAN USB Drivers on Windows XP you will normally see this message:
To install the driver please click the button labelled 'Continue Anyway'. If you already have the FastSCAN USB driver installed, or do not wish to install a driver, you may skip the installation by clicking 'STOP Installation'. Clicking 'STOP Installation' does not stop the FastSCAN software installation, it only stops the driver installation.
If you were previously using FastSCAN version 3.8.0 or earlier, you will need a new license file to use version 4.0.6. To update your license file:
Locate your license file(s), typically including Wand_xxx.lic, FastRBF.lic and/or FastSCAN.lic, in the FastSCAN directory (usually C:\Program Files\Polhemus\FastSCAN).
Attach all license files to an email, and send it to scanning@aranz.com along with your contact details including company name (if applicable), address, and phone number.
We will normally reissue you with a new license within one working day
The software fully supports the original FastSCAN, the FastSCAN Cobra, and the FastSCAN Scorpion models. Users of parallel port systems should read this.
The Latest Software Release is the most up-to date version of the software at this time, and we do not have a Beta Release for evaluation.
